Now usually I dont do this but uhh...keep the party going

Now usually I would start off with new Nike SB Releases or samples from upcoming seasons but...to show that I am not sneak-cist or kick-scriminating...I want to start off with the Vans x Undefeated Sk8 release. Which released April 19th on UNDFTDs online store. The colors released have the obvious inspiration from NBA teams...The Lakers, Bulls, Knicks, 76ers, and the Celtics. I believe these are all classic colorways that you can always find something to match with. Here are some pics....

Thanks to HighSnobiety for the info...

Enough of that back to NIKE...nah im playing but sneaker blogs everywhere have got there first close up look at Kanyes NEW Nikes dubbed the "Air Yeezy". He wore them to a couple shows, performances, and numerous events. Now there is a close up shot showing us what producing with Nike....and here it is.......

Since we are a college driven/college inspired blog...soon to be full fledged sick ass site (lunch on us if you want to). It wouldnt be right if I didnt at least once have some shoes that has the same so introduce the "Rivalry Pack"

Thanks to 80sFresh & Allen Benedikt for the pics.

While we still on Nike I said I would give you some more Nike SB releases...and I never make a promise that I cant keep, that aint me...oh oooh. Most of these are a Fall release but some of them are pretty much various/random...

Wow...that was like talking without taking a breath. A lot of these shoes are not out yet but when they are I will sure to make notice to it. But I want to give a really big shout to Wendy Lam aka retrogirl over at www.nitrolicious.com. She has one of the greatest blogs out right now...so you should definitely check out her blog and learn something. Thanks to Nitrolicious/80s fresh(Another underrated blog) for the pics and info.

Now we go from Nike to Jordan...as you know there are lots of countdown packs being released and being revealed. For example there is suppose to be a pack being released Saturday containing the Jordan 2s&21s. But the pack that I saw and kind of made me anxious is Air Jordan IV - Black Cement & the Air Jordan XIX. Not for the XIX so much but for the CEMENT 4s.

This pack is suppose to be released in July...Other than this countdown packs that need to be mentioned would be Jordan 3/20 in October, and the 11/12 in December. Thanks to Air-Randy and 80sFresh for the pics and info.

In the theme of the primaries that went on today in Philly I decided to post the newest fusion 5s to come out. The color scheme is Red, White, and Blue...and just screams patriotism. I heard conflicting release dates so I dont know any exacts but HS says June so thats what ima say.

Creative Recreation sneaker line is getting bigger and bigger every season. They added numerous new styles for men and women and still keep a unique distinction that other brands have started to copy. And now this season when they did there Barneys exclusives they really did just that...usually just making a unique colorway. They changed it up and made an exclusive style with exclusive color way...

Great shoe that covers all ranges. Thanks to HS once again.

Art now has a new canvas...this hand drawn sketch of Chinatown in Seattle was down by the people over at Manik. Manik who started in 2001 has always incorporated some form of art whether it be photography or film...and in this case hand drawn excellence. I wont be surprised to see deck art in a museum of some sort in the future.

Mosley Tribes is back with another collaboration, this time with street wear brand Crooks & Castles. Rather than customizing a pair they pretty much made there own. You already know how I feel about Mosley Tribes...so....

Thanks to 80sFresh for the pic

I have a thing for unique, different, and definately futuristic....I say that to say this when I saw this watch I was speechless I still dont have the words to describe this and after reading about the watch I still dont. So I will put on the picture and leave you the link so that you can read about yourself and help me out.

Hillary Clinton relating to the College Life

So, I was wondering how can Hillary Clinton better relate to the College student and those between the ages of 18 - 30. Let's face it, among Democratic voters, Barack is kicking that @ss in this demographic regardless of race or gender.

To me that is the real story, not necessarily race or gender issue but a generational GAP.

"Hillary Clinton is NOT winning the Young (18 -30) Vote"

In an attempt to show her... commonalities with those in College, she does what 85% to 93% of college students do.....
Take Shots...

Now, her form is okay, however I don't like her technique of taking three sips to finish one shot....

Hillary now is not the time to half ass on anything ... especially shots....

So what do you think this does for her image???

and

What do you think the Democratic Primary boils down to
a. Race
b. Gender
c. Generational/Age
d. IDGAF (I Don't Give A F&#!)

oh and remember DRINK RESPONSIBLY

Emancipation Day

Happy Emancipation Day (in D.C.)

April 16 is recognized in, D.C., as Emancipation Proclamation day.

In researching for this article I found out some interesting facts that I'd like to share with you all.

- Texas (Juneteenth , June 19th) and Florida (May 20th, but it's an unofficial) are the other two states that have a celebration marking the Emancipation of Slaves.

- Many West Indian countries including the Bahamas, Bermuda, Trinidad and Tobago and Turks and Caicos Celebrate an Emancipation Day.

- The April 16th 1862 Emancipation of the slaves in D.C. was the only one in which Slave owners were compensated for setting slaves free.

- Lincoln didn't use his initial powers as President to conduct the Emancipation, he used his war powers of "
Commander and Chief of the Army and Navy" as the tool to Emancipate.

You can check out more Emancipation
Proclamation Facts Here or Here or you can check your local Wikipedia listings...

I must say I've taken a lot of history courses in High School and College, and NEVER was I taught or quizzed on anything involving the actual Emancipation of the Slaves.

All that was EVER said was "The Document and Lincoln Freed the Slaves"... that statement is not entirely true and I advise people to take a further look into...

Virginia Tech Remembrance

On this day last year most of the Nation (and almost every College Student), was glued to their t.v.'s trying to make sense of the scene playing out.

Virginia Tech University was once again on the National stage.

Except this time it was not for their Excellence in Education or their
Dominance in Sports, but for the tragedy that would shock a nation and bring together a greater community.

For years to come, this day, will be one that is met with flowers, remembrance, grief and questions.

To the 32 who passe
d away, it is the last day they saw on this planet and for the rest of us, we are here to try and figure out and prevent this from happening again.

Life continually plays out in "Cause and Effect", with many "causes" being an enigma and the "effects" everlasting.

However, in the midst of tragedy you can always hear the stories of those who fortune was on their side.

The stories of the brave who sacrificed themselves, told to us by the saved who made it out.

And, the stories of those who brought about change because they felt in some way connected to the incident.
The "internet" age gave us a way to connect to students from far and wide, create groups showing our compassion for victims we will never know and condolences to the families of those we will never meet.

Students of all Ages, Races, and Communities gathered around one central theme, one cause a
nd one slogan.

TODAY WE ARE ALL HOKIES
