F the BCS

Quick – pick the one popular sport whose champion is decided by a bunch of nerds behind a computer desk.
No, it’s not online poker, and it’s not even Madden ’08, where you keep on losing to that 12 year old kid from Boise on Xbox live (damn you, idahorox95!).

No, I’m talking about college football. A place where a little bit of whining will get you into the national title or a BCS bowl, and where you can play schedule filled with Troy and Bobby Boucher's SCLSU Mud Dogs and still make the national title game.

Whatever happened to the best teams playing the best teams to determine a champion? It happens in every other sport, even in college. Now I’ll ask another question – what is the most exciting annual sporting event? March madness.

Imagine if you combined a more popular sport with some type of playoff system or tournament. I understand football is a different type of game, and they can only play one game a week, but tell me what the fuck these kids are doing for those first three weeks of December besides Christmas shopping and throwing snowballs at little kids during fits of roid rage? You have 8 teams in the playoffs – the winner of each major conference and 2 at-large bids – play the second and third weeks of December, and play your championship game the first week of January. 7 playoff games means more money, more excitement, and a real champion! Tradition blows. It’s time for a change.

Much to Mr. Talented’s dismay, I won’t give a top 25 poll, but I’ll let you all know who my 8 playoff teams are.

SEC champion – LSU

Big XII champion – Oklahoma

Big 10 champion – Michigan

ACC champion – Miami

Big East champion – West Virginia

Pac 10 champion – Oregon

At-large 1 – Hawaii

At-large 2 – Ohio State

South Florida at Rutgers

In a stadium that would make any Cali blood proud or make Moses want to lay down his staff and spread his arms the game was played in a Sea of RED.

Rutgers Upset the Bulls 30-27

Trick Plays/Special Teams, Defense and Ray Rice:

Fake Punt, Fake Field Goal, 2 Punt Fumbles, 2 Blocked Punts, 2 Late hit penalties, 7 Sacks and 181yds from the Heisman Hopeful.

My second favorite Rice (Jerry's my boy
)

is such a nice gangsta...he trucked the guy and then helped him up...
cornerbacks and safety's beware
...if your under 200 get ready to get ran overAfter initial slaps on the wrists, South Florida slaps rutgers across the face first

From the first play, Rutgers and Ray Rice wa
s ready... running the ball, and opening up the play action... For the second year in a row rutgers has ended someone's special season...and this year one up on last year...taking out the number 2 team in the nation.

For the second year in a row Piscataway/New Bru
inswick, Nj is all drinking, partying and sex tonight

......hmmm...In south Florida (really in west central Florida) the Bulls stadium was filled (like 200) with students and fans.

Extras:

...Did anyone else have an issue with the Equipment Manager announcing the starters??? I did. I understand that the introduction of players on t.v. is not the most important part of the game, however i think the way they went about it yesterday was not rightI have nothing against the equipment managers, but please. People want a grand introduction, from a player, celebrity or announcer. Not face time for the equipment manager. What happened, no one else wanted to do it. I liked when they had celebrity alums, i like when they have the players. But please, No to the equipment managers... Can someone get me a towel
